Do you want to know one bad thing about winter?
Its your body getting weak under the claws of a flu. And it sucks. But what can you do?

So yea, thankfully i am getting better and this nasty flu made me respect my body and love it, even though it couldnt do much but lie on the couch.

Enough on that..I havent been taking many pictures lately, because really, i havent seen anything too interesting.

BUT, i made almond milk yesterday, and wow, it is ever SO EASY! AND delicious . AND nutritious.
Yes i think you want to make yourself some now dont you?

well if i am a phsychic and you do, here is the recipe i used which is from a very inspiring raw food blog, and incase your interested, this is the blog.

makes 4 cups:

1 cup soaked raw almonds (soaked 4-8 hours)

4 cups filtered water

Pinch of sun-dried sea salt

1 T non-alcohol vanilla extract

1/2 vanilla bean (optional)

3 T raw honey or maple syrup (or 3 soft dates, pitted)

In a blender, at medium, then high speed, blend soaked almonds, water, and sea salt until smooth. Pour through a strainer (or use a nut bag) to separate pulp. Pour liquid back in the the blender and blend in vanilla extract and bean (if using) and sweetener until smooth.

yumyum.

So tommorow is school again, but this week there is something to look forward to atleast.....a creative arts night, music, art and hospitality.....should be fun!

and i hope the last traces of this coldddddd disappear tomorow, wouldnt that be fabulous!

goodnight and peace&love guys!

happiness and pride

You know what?
I am happy, proud and hopefull for the people of my country.

They are being brave, they are letting their voices be heard, they are coming together as one, they are joining hands and telling everyone that they are not just going about their lives feeling sorry for themselves and their situation, but that they are actually getting up, coming out and coming in, as one.

They want to say it straight and be counted for their vote, they want to say, 'hey we live on this piece of earth too', they want their hope to actually take shape and come alive.

Even if it didnt, at least they got heard by the whole globe.

yeah.

i just wanted to say that.

goodnight.

I thought i will show you what i drew today and what things were good about this saturday, so here it is:

a drawing, with colour pencils. I love the contrast of them against the deep blue cardboard.

the first drawing in the pretty moleskin that sweet Emily gave to me :)

Today, i got the chance to wake out of bed peacefully and slowly and begin the day with reading a few pages from memoirs of pablo Neruda.

Eating just out of the oven cinamon+cloves muffins and drinking a pungent cup of chai was another bliss of today. Chai is my new favourite drink and makes me feel grounded and warm in the mornings.

Having the chance to draw and have the time to do anything i want.

Yes, that is all :)

have a swinging and joyfull weekend!

all different things.......

.Browsing a market in the warming sun
.walking in the city
.Jazz by the harbour at night

.cold, yet refreshing mountain air
.antique bookshops, filled to the top with ancient books
.good, wholesome food in an old looking, country style cafe
.walking in a park filled with trees that have dropped their clothes
.a long drive back home, with the almost full moon watching over us and bare fruit orchards passing bye.............

That was my weekend.

and i thought i would include some fruit crosssections that are held up against the light, because they are way too pretty, i think :)

good day.

And so yesterday i turned sixteen, but i still feel exactly the same.
I baked an orange and cardamon spongecake and we topped it with whipped cream, my parents and me.
They sung happy birthday for me and i smiled. A close and cosy company.

Im deeply in love with Pablo Neruda. His words, his loves and his life. His words warm up my soul and open windows, and i understand truely what he says and means, well most of the time at least.
Its so good to read about his experiences and his life, written with his own hands, everything described in a way no one else can, even though it is translated.

To rise to the sky you need:
Two wings
a violin
and so many things,
incalculablethings, things without names,
a license for a large slow-moving eye,
the inscription on the nails of the almond tree,
the titles of the grass in the morning.

Pablo Neruda

I want to leap from this neverending school life into someplace filled with adventure and excitement. Somewhere made for exploring and observing, somewhere with diferent things. Some place new. New faces, new buildings, new routines, new land.

And now Autumn has faded away too, she said goodbye and left and the cold gladly replaced her.
I miss the sun rays, they have been hiding for a while now. Please come out.

But what can you do..............its all good really..... yes, goodnight and dream strange and new dreams.

time to breathe and relax , and post a random photo post once again.

Ode to good old saturdays, when you have time to bake mini lemon and ginger muffins topped with shredded coconut and lavender......
being able to browse on the computer,  post a post on the blog, upload forgotten pictures sleeping in the camera wanting to come out.......
make and drink green tea infused with lemon zest, ginger and lavender.....
smell the incense stick burning away quietly in the corner.......
read a beautiful book and TRY to begin an assignment due the following week

But this post is not going to be about school work one little bit, NO it wont. There is more to life than that, well at least there should be.............

?
we made a sign and stuck it on the wall so when ever we enter the house we try and remember what we learned during the day.

Autumn is slowly walking away and winter is slowly entering..........................I will miss you dear Autumn...enjoy your next journey

Full moons are my favourite, one night a few weeks back the full moon was ever so radiant and giving off light just so generously, she must have been happy about something, although she usually is anyway.............

i hope your weekend is  calm, enjoyable, hopeful, lovely and filled with lots and lots of smiles and hugs :)
